Suge Knight suspected of deliberately running over two people, killing one, after film set fight: cops

The rap mogul allegedly hit two men with his car and then backed up over them as he fled the scene, cops and witnesses said. The deadly incident occurred after Knight drove onto the set of ‘Straight Outta Compton’ and got into a fight. Longtime rival Dr. Dre was believed to have been on the set that day, along with Ice Cube and The Game.

Rap music mogul Marion (Suge) Knight allegedly killed one man and injured another by deliberately running them over with his truck in California on Thursday — and then fled the scene, cops said.

Knight ditched his bright red Ford F-150 Raptor and “was in the wind,” Thursday night, said Lt. John Corina of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“The act appears to be intentional,” Corina said. “He intended to run those people over.”

The deadly hit-and-run occurred around 3 p.m., after Knight drove onto the set of “Straight Outta Compton,” a biopic about N.W.A, and got into a confrontation with two unidentified men, cops said.

Shortly after the fight, cops believe Knight, 49, in his red truck, followed the men to Tam’s Burgers in Compton, several blocks away from the film set. More words were exchanged in the parking lot, cops said. Then the driver of the red truck backed up and ran over one of the men, witnesses told cops. The driver then zoomed forward to run him over again, they said.

The truck also hit the second man, witnesses said.

Suge Knight has a long history of legal troubles and violent encounters.  John Locher/AP Suge Knight has a long history of legal troubles and violent encounters.

“The description appears to be Suge Knight … One of the victims ends up dying, so now we’re investigating this as a murder,” Corina told the Daily News.

The deceased victim was 55 years old. Cops didn’t release a name, but other media identified him as Terry Carter, a former business partner of Ice Cube, who had been on the set that day, as had Knight rival Dr. Dre.

Knight’s lawyer, James Blatt, told TMZ the victim had been a friend of the rap mogul’s.

The injured man is 51, Corina said.

A red truck matching the description of Knight’s was found in Westwood, near Blatt’s office.

Blatt told police his client — who has a long history of trouble with the law — would surrender, Corina said.

“We’re waiting for (Blatt) to call us. He’s still trying to talk to his client. We’re waiting for him to turn himself in. Sooner or later he will,” Corina said.

“It was an argument,” he added. “They’re acquaintances. I’m sure they know each other. And it just went bad.”

The notorious ex-rap impresario was a “person of interest,” cops said.

“He was seen 20 minutes earlier over at the other incident in the same truck, arguing with some people. Then the same truck ends up over here, a person driving the truck fits his description, so we want to talk to him,” Corina said.

Knight has been arrested several times and was shot six times in September outside a club. He’s currently out on $500,000 bail in the alleged theft of a paparazzo’s camera and is due in court for a hearing Tuesday.

NEW 2PAC NEWS BISHOPDEVILLE.COM EXCLUSIVE Unheard Audio 2pac & Jim Belushi Interview On The Set Of ‘Gang Related’ 8-27-96

The saga of Tupac and his game-changing career has been very well documented from birth to his untimely and still unsolved murder. Shakur is treasured as one of the greatest rappers to ever live and he was taken from the earth in his prime in Las Vegas at the age of 25. A recent interview with the rapper and actor that took place just 18 days before his death has surfaced on a Tupac message board. It takes place on the set of the movie Gang Related, which he was set to star in alongside Jim Belushi. During the 20-minute interview, Tupac discussed his work in the film, where his name came from and much more.

Tupac tells the story of where his name came from referring to the life of José Gabriel Túpac Amaru, a Peruvian leader in the 1700s who fought for freedom against the British and was eventually killed for his actions as a freedom fighter. Tupac draws similarity in character, saying Amaru was a “warrior similar to myself” and the name means “determined.” He goes on further, explaining:

“Because I’m determined to never, ever negotiate again. We are in the midst of war. Nobody’s gonna give me the breath out of their mouth for me to live longer, so therefore I’m not giving anybody the breath out of my mouth for them to live longer.”

Tupac admits that he is “very conceited,” but he had been humbled by his brief stint in jail the year before.

“To be perfectly honest, I’m very conceited,” the rapper said. “But how the world prevents it is by putting me in jail for a crime I didn’t commit last year. That kinda humbles you out. But now that I’m out and I’m free it keeps me humble. It keeps my feet on the ground…All of us as human beings have a dominant and a quiet side. I happen to be a Gemini and I’m young and I’m black and I’m from the hood, so it’s just you got all these different facets, but I’m an artist. And I’m hungry for knowledge, so there’s no pigeonhole for them to put me in, so they’d rather just make it look like I’m crazy. That’s the biggest misconception.”

The long-awaited Tupac biopic is finally going to get under way and will begin production in June. The biopic cleared the very important hurdle of liscensing Shakur’s entire discography and will take an in-depth view of the rapper’s tubulent and talented life.

Terminally ill Eminem fan dies day after rapper’s visit

A terminally ill Detroit-area teenager who was surprised by a visit from rapper Eminem has died.

Rainbow Connection Executive Director Mary Grace McCarter says Tuesday that the parents of 17-year-old Gage Garmo told her that he died Monday in their home in Rochester Hills, Michigan.

Gage had a wish fulfilled when Detroit native Eminem stopped by Sunday evening. The Detroit Free Press says the pair sat in the family’s living room talking about hip-hop and football.

“Gage sat up with a grin on his face,” Rainbow Connection’s Ingrid Todt told the paper. “His family hadn’t seen their son do that in such a long time.”

Gage was diagnosed with bone cancer three years ago, when he was a freshman at Rochester High School.

Friends and classmates used social media and the hashtag #GetGageGarmoToMeetEminem to spread Gage’s wish to meet his musical hero, after he learned last week that he had just days left to live.

The visit, Todt told the Free Press, was “very special and very quiet at the same time.”

“It was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen,” she added. “The stars aligned, and Gage’s wish came true.”

Michigan-based charity Rainbow Connection set up the meeting.

Chris Brown I’m Done Playing ‘Hood’ Clubs

0113-chris-brown-tmz-03Chris brown is finished taking chances … he’s ordered his manager to immediately cancel upcoming shows at any nightclub he thinks is “too hood” after the recent shooting in San Jose.

A source close to Chris tells TMZ the singer called an emergency meeting instructing his crew to pull him out of all future bookings at venues with a history of violence or security issues.

As TMZ previously reported … five people were wounded when someone fired multiple shots at his show Sunday morning.

We’re told Brown doesn’t want to be associated with shootings — and is making the change to protect his image, his ass, and his fans. Not necessarily in that order.

To that point … Chris performed in a San Diego club the night after the shooting, and declared on Instagram, “No more n***a parties! Only this type s**t!”
