Rapper Khalifa cited for taking a whiz in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police say rapper Wiz Khalifa has been cited for urinating in public.

City public safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler says it happened at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, behind a bar called The Flats, on Pittsburgh’s South Side.

Khalifa, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz, is a graduate of Pittsburgh’s Allderdice High School and keeps a home in suburban Canonsburg. He was in town to perform during the University of Pittsburgh’s Midnight Madness basketball season kickoff Friday night.

Representatives for Khalifa, who is known for hits such as “Black and Yellow” and “See You Again,” did not immediately return phone and email messages late Saturday from The Associated Press seeking comment on the citation.

Infamous drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, who daringly escaped prison on July 11, utilized a tunnel leading from the only “supermax” maximum-security prison in Mexico, where he’d been held. At least that’s the explanation Mexican authorities have given as to how the leader of the Sinaloa cartel escaped prison for the second time.

In the aftermath of the escape, VICE News went to Almoloya de Juarez to inspect the exit of the tunnel that “El Chapo” allegedly used, and spoke with an activist and former inmate of Altiplano prison who claims to have discovered flaws in the authorities’ version of events.

Alleged DMX robbery victims offered rapper drugs, attorney says

An attorney for rapper DMX says two men claiming they were robbed by the hip-hop star Sunday morning offered him drugs before contacting police.

Bronx-based Murray Richman, whose long list of clients has included Jay-Z and members of the Lucchese crime family, told NJ Advance Media that the allegations the rapper shook them down for $3,200 in cash were “completely bogus.”

“He doesn’t have a gun. There’s video tape on the scene. I imagine the police have it. I don’t get it,” he said.

Richman said he had spoken with DMX, also known as Earl Simmons, who told him he and a group of associates that included two former New York City police officers stopped at the gas station following a headlining spot at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center Saturday night.

It was there that he met the two alleged victims, who recognized him and asked to pose for pictures, he added. The men eventually offered the rapper drugs, according to Richman, which he refused due to his past struggles with addiction.

“He had a problem in the past. These guys thought they were being cool with him,” he said, adding that DMX told him he left the scene promptly after refusing the offer.

The account differs from the one provided by the 21-year-old victim, who told police the two had a brief conversation before DMX demanded the victim show him what was in his pockets.

A member of the rapper’s entourage then allegedly flashed a handgun, he claims, prompting him to turn over the cash.

A friend who was with the alleged victim at the time has spoken out in his defense, saying the large amount of money taken was from a freshly cashed paycheck.

Newark police were on scene at the McCarter Highway Exxon today gathering the video. An investigation into the incident remains active, though no charges have been filed against DMX or anyone else, police confirmed.

New Drake Tour Is A Scam According To The Rapper!

There’s a promoter that’s been advertising an 8 city Drizzy tour in May, except they forgot one very small, minor issue: Drake didn’t give permission, and he’s actually not performing at any of those venues.

In fact, Drake is urging fans to call authorities if they managed to get fooled!

Apparently, tickets were reportedly in the $350 range in Miami and Houston. So, naturally Drake’s team is trying to deduce who the culprit might be.

524385_10201836517221462_2063850797_nNearly three weeks after rapper “The Jacka” was gunned down in East Oakland, police have not named a suspect and have not made any arrests despite being close enough to the killers to hear the gunshots that took his life.

The February 2nd homicide occurred on MacArthur Boulevard near 94th Avenue at 8:14 p.m. on a Monday night. An unidentified gunman escaped.

Bay Area musicians battle critics on social media after artist’s murder

“The case is actively being investigated,” said Officer Johnna Watson, Oakland Police Department Public Information Officer.

“We continue to follow up leads and encourage community assistance through tips to help solve this case. At this time we are not releasing any additional information,” she added.

Oakland Police would not respond to CBS SF’s requests about whether there were any suspects, whether witnesses were coming forward, what the motive was, and whether they were confident they would eventually make an arrest and conviction.

37-year-old Dominic Newton, who went by the stage name “The Jacka,” was found by patrol units shortly after officers heard the shot or shots. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
